Your purchase helps with everything from website development, hosting, research, camera equipment, editing and everything in between. We truly can not do it without your support!

This necklace is a one-of-a-kind design made with vintage Ni'ihau momi shells, Kauai kahelelani, puka & Japanese Kumihimo handwoven silk.

The momi shells are vintage and were taken from an old lei from Ni'ihau. The kahelelani are a pink/tan and burgundy color and are from O'ahu and Kaua'i. It also has a single white puka cap. It is strung in the pikake style resembling the tropical flower. Learn more about sunrise shells and other Hawaiian jewelry on our introduction page!

The silk is hand woven in Kanazawa Japan and is of the highest quality. This necklace features an 8-strand weave pattern called "Edo-uchi-himo". The silk measures 1mm.

It is set in solid sterling silver and is stamped "925". Length is adjustable by gently pulling the ends and can be worn as a choker and up to 19.50 inches not including the clasp. This piece looks best worn short. Different lengths, colors and pendants are available. Contact Us to inquire about a custom order.
